The County is mostly rural with easy commuting to urban areas such as Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Hamilton, Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto. There are many local activities, festivals and events held in the county.
TRI-CITIES

Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge is known as the Tri-Cities and forms the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. The communities are connected by quality transit and the Grand River. Kitchener is the largest of the three cities and is located approximately 100 km west of Toronto. Waterloo is home to 2 well-known universities and large employers. These 2 cities are often referred to as the K-W area and have great options for outdoor recreation, attractions, and events (including the annual 9 day Oktoberfest celebration). The thriving city of Cambridge is located at the convergence of the Grand River and the Speed River. It has four centres – Galt, Hespeler, Preston and Blair, and is known for its historic limestone buildings and beautiful views.
PUSLINCH

Puslinch is a township located in Southwestern Ontario near Guelph, Cambridge and Halton, and is known for the feel of country living with easy access to urban amenities. The township includes the communities of Puslinch, Puslinch Lake, Aberfoyle, Morriston, Arkell, Paddock’s Corners, Badenoch, Aikensville, Corwhin, Downey, Crieff, Killean, and Glen Christie. About half of the township is forested and Puslinch Lake is located near the western edge near Cambridge. Puslinch has numerous community groups with strong community involvement and hosts many activities, events and recreational leagues.
CENTRE WELLINGTON

Centre Wellington is a township located in South Central Ontario. Elora and Fergus are the primary communities and the township includes several hamlets, villages and small communities including Belwood, Ennotville, Ponsonby, Speedside, Inverhaugh, Salem, Aboyne, Oustic, Shiloh, Pentland Corners, Cumnock, Dracon, Creek Bank, Simpson Corners, Drayton and Spier. Many are attracted to Centre Wellington for its historic and scenic nature of the towns, its proximity to urban centres such as Guelph, K-W, and the GTA, its festivals and attractions, as well as the Grand River and Belwood Lake.
HALTON

Halton Region is located in the Golden Horseshoe of Southern Ontario and consists of Burlington, Oakville, Halton Hills, and Milton. Burlington and Oakville are mostly urban while Halton Hills and Milton are considered urban with more rural. Some of the scenic rural areas are protected greenbelt or part of the Niagara Escarpment. Halton is also within the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and is desirable for commuting either east to the Toronto area or west to Guelph and the Tri-Cities.
