Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge is known as the Tri-Cities and forms the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. The communities are connected by quality transit and the Grand River. Kitchener is the largest of the three cities and is located approximately 100 km west of Toronto. Waterloo is home to 2 well-known universities and large employers. These 2 cities are often referred to as the K-W area and have great options for outdoor recreation, attractions, and events (including the annual 9 day Oktoberfest celebration). The thriving city of Cambridge is located at the convergence of the Grand River and the Speed River. It has four centres – Galt, Hespeler, Preston and Blair, and is known for its historic limestone buildings and beautiful views.
